"The 2nd Japan-Korea Workshop for Young Foundry Engineers" will be held in Crowne Plaza Hotel, Jeju city, Jeju island, KOREA from 6-9 July, 2005. The Workshop will be supported both by Japan Foundry Engineering Society and Korea Foundrymen's Society.
Scope
"The 2nd Japan-Korea Workshop for Young Foundry Engineers" is held as the second workshop on foundry engineering for bringing researchers from both our two countries to have concurrent views of foundry engineering to share recent excitements, and achievements, and to gain new insights for linking casting technology and science with practical industrial applications. The topics will cover experimental, theoretical, computational, and application aspects, including;
- Ferrous cast alloys
- Non-ferrous cast alloys
- Composite & joining
- New casting process and materials development
- Casting production and environment technology
- Modeling & simulation in foundry engineering
- Multi and trans-disciplinary technology related to foundry & solidification process
